Colour and texture are important, as is abstraction – the imagination reads abstract images as personal, new.
Natural forms are often abstract – landscapes, leaves, water.
My favourite reaction to my images is 'What is it?'. I used to go into detail, now I want to hear their answer.
And people.. they don't want their photo taken, but if you ask you lose what you first saw.
